Zamfara State is rich in mineral resources, with gold being the most significant mineral found in the state. According to the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency, the state has an estimated 50,000 ounces of gold deposits. There are also large deposits of lead and zinc in the state, which are often found in association with gold.
